Mildred C. Beckemeyer
Mildred C. Beckemeyer of Carlyle died Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 96 years. Mildred was born near Huey on November 11, 1917, the daughter of Clarence and Eleanor (Siddell) Bromley. She married Harold Beckemeyer in Inglewood, California on January 13, 1942, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1997.
Mrs. Beckemeyer is survived by a daughter: Mary Vance of Beckemeyer; and two grandsons: James Beckemeyer of Carlyle and David Wilkerson of Louisville, Kentucky.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother: William “Bill” Bromley, and a son-in-law: James Vance.
Mildred retired from the Carlyle Super Valu Store as a checker. She enjoyed working in her yard and was always busy.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Keith Michaels officiating. The interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8:00 P.M. or on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.
For those wishing to honor Mildred with a memorial, the family suggests memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and those will be received at the funeral home.
