Howard Trew

Howard Trewof Carlyle died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, IL at the age of 77 years.Mr. Trew was born in Ringold, Georgia on February 26, 1932, the son of Arthur Grant and Lilly Mae (Bell) Trew. He married Betty D. Whittle in Benton, Tennessee on February 17, 1996 and she survives in Carlyle along with a brother: Donald Trew of Knoxville, Tennessee.Howard was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Frieda Trew; and three brothers: Jack Trew, John Trew and Bill Trew.Mr. Trew retired from The Dixie YarnCompany and was of the Baptist Faith. He had served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He enjoyed playing the harmonica.Interment services will take place at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennesseeon Tuesday, November 10, 2009.Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice, and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.Expressions of sympathy can be sent to Howard’s family atwww.frerkerfuneral.com.
