Glennys R. Ardison of Carlyle died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at her residence at the age of 80. Glennys was born in Norris City, Illinois on November 30, 1932, the daughter of Willis and Cleta Elsie (Forrester) Phelps. She married Peter "Pete" Ardison, Jr. on October 27 , 1956 in Granite City and he survives.

Mrs. Ardison is survived by her husband: Pete; two daughters: Vickie Kahre and husband Daryl of Sparta, Illinois and Beckie Eaves of Collinsville, Illinois; two sons: Pete Ardison III of Collinsville and Ed Ardison of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Glennys was preceded in death by her parents; a sister : Virginia Lee; two brothers: Dale Phelps and Gary Phelps; and a granddaughter: Amanda Kahre.

Glennys enjoyed quilting, playing cards, fishing and western movies. She spent may years volunteering for the local scouting organization.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 A.M at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with her nephew Danny Cox officiating. The interment will be in Zion Cemetery in Ozark, Illinois at 2:00 P.M.

Friend may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 A.M.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to VNA-TIP Hospice, the Amanda Kahre Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois, or to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
