Elaine Walker

Elaine Walker of Carlyle died Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 84 years. Elaine was born in Carlyle on April 14, 1924 the daughter of L. Earl and Eva (Posey) Walker. Elaine had never married. Elaine was survived by nieces and nephews.Ms. Walker received her bachelors degree from the University of Illinois and her masters degree from the University of Missouri. She was retired from the Human Resources Department of Stix Baer and Fuller Department Store in St. Louis, now known as Dillard’s. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle and the Clinton County Historical Society.Private services were held Thursday.
