Donald G. Siegel of Carlyle died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at St. Joseph’s in Breese at the age of 81 years. Don was born in Lebanon, Illinois on May 13, 1932 the son of Edward and Abbey (Dawson) Siegel.
Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and a Life Member of the American Legion. He was a retired laborer. Don enjoyed fishing and playing bingo, and bowling in his younger years.
Don is survived by his special friend Sandra Powell of Carlyle.
In keeping with Don’s request, cremation services will be performed. A committal services is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2013 at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
For those that wish to leave a memorial, the family suggests the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
