Delbert E. Brammeier of Ferrin died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at St. Mary’s/Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia at the age of 63 years. He was born in Ferrin on August 7, 1946 the son of Emil and Quinta (Knolhoff) Brammeier. In 1968 in Hoyleton Delbert married Doris Unverfehrt and she survives along with two daughters: Emily Holle and husband Jason of Hoyletonand Jill Brammeier and special friend Dannon Harre of Hoffman; two sons: Sam Brammeier and special friend Raven Holle of Nashville and Jason Brammeier and wife Dena of Ferrin; three sisters: Bernice Zimmermann of Ferrin, Eileen Kleiboeker and husband Bill of Hoffman and Julia Karmeier and husband Ralph of New Minden; two brothers: Edmond Brammeier and wife Alrene of Okawville and Carl Brammeier and wife Louise of Carlyle; three grandchildren: Adrienne, Jackson and Daisy Brammeier; two sisters-in-law: Gladys Kastrup and husbandDavid of Prescott, Arizona and Rose Hanke of Boulder; brother-in-law: Wayne Unverfehrt and wife Ruth of Hoyleton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Delbert was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin where he was currently serving as an elder and had served in many positions. Delbert was a dairy/grain farmer and was born and raised on his dairy/grain farm in Ferrin.He was member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau, the Clinton County Holstein Club and Jr. Holstein Club, the Farm Extension and was a member of the Huey-Ferrin-Boulder Fire Department.Funeral services for Mr. Brammeier will be Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin with Pastor Scott Nierman officiating. The interment will follow at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.Friends may visit with the family at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin on Friday from 5 to 8:00 P.M. or on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial to the American Heart Association, Bethlehem Luther Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
