Darlene Green of Centralia went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Mary’s-Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia at the age of 53 years. Darlene was born in Brownsville, Tennessee on January 11, 1960 the daughter of Willie Cozart and Maeonia Green.
Darlene is survived by three daughters: Shanae Green of Salem, Lisha Green and Shevon Green of Centralia; a brother: William Cozart of St. Louis; four sisters: Mary Cozart Patterson of North Carolina, Patricia Sanders of Jackson, TN, Elizabeth Cozart of St. Louis and Alberia Cozart of Jackson, TN; two grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Darlene was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Carlyle. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and fishing.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Dermonti Green; a sister: Lou Robertson; and a brother: Roger Cozarts.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Carlyle Cemetery with Rev. William Whitman and Rev. Theodore Macon officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
For those that wish to honor Darlene with a memorial, the family suggests the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
