Anna L. Barton

Anna L. Barton of Carlyle died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her residence at the age of 85 years. She was born in Canadian, Oklahoma on June 1, 1924 the daughter of Thomas Ephriam and Lula Ann (Melton) Benson.Ann is survived by her two daughters: Diane Kruger and husband John of Germantown, Illinois and Brenda Johnson and husband Van of Carlyle; a son: Larry T. Barton and wife Sharon of Franklin, Tennessee; a sister: Jimmy Margaret Clark of McAlester, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.Mrs. Barton was a homemaker and moved to Carlyle in 1996 from Brentwood, Tennessee.Funeral services for Mrs. Barton will be Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Methodist Church in Carlyle with Rev. John Vidakovich officiating. The interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery in Germantown, Illinois.Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle.The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
